Truck Driving in Long Beach

The Port of Long Beach, paired with LA, is the largest container gateway in North America. Distinct from POLA in appointment systems and terminal layout; drayage rules identical (CTP 2014+).

Terminals

ITS, LBCT, TTI, Pier T, SSA. Each has separate appointment systems. LBCT is highly automated; PGS is largest by volume.

Clean Truck Program

Same as POLA — 2014 engine year minimum, moving toward zero-emission by 2035.

Truck Route

I-710 is the primary drayage artery. Congestion severe; SB-1 funding a rebuild through 2028.

Wilmington, Carson, Fontana. No overnight parking within port jurisdiction.
